About TimberTherm

TimberTherm was established in 2012 and originally made Bespoke Window solutions under long established business brand which underwent major re-branding in order to supply mainly UK based customers by continually adapting to meet ‘customers’ needs.

For the past 2 years the Company has been manufacturing a range of modern casement timber solutions for the building industry as well as expanding its product offerings to associated architects and end of line consumers products such as triple glazing, bifold doors and transit monitoring.

“We have worked closely with HSBC and VMC to make this project happen and as a company we have welcomed this ongoing relationship. Their faith in our ability to grow and develop has been demonstrated in their willingness to provide additional financial support for the new machinery.”

Managing Director, TimberTherm

What did TimberTherm want to achieve?

With ageing specialist equipment, TimberTherm found production to be expensive due to numerous repairs. The family-run firm looked to invest in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that the company could speed up production and improve efficiency in the manufacture of casement windows for industry customers including the house builder sector.

How did VMC help?

Using VMC and HSBC’s unique import product, Capital Import Finance, the new machines were imported in separate parts from China, Germany and Italy. A £719,000 hire purchase facility from VMC and a £297,000 bridging loan was provided by HSBC while the machines were being built and shipped. The investment was further supported by funding from Turling Investments Group.

“There are 50 Bespoke Window companies in the UK but not many can manufacture real modern casement timber solutions, and this is part of our investment strategy. We have created fifty five new jobs as a result of having the new machinery. These new jobs are in addition to our existing 65-strong workforce.”
